Committed to early intervention and prevention, Dr Gajwani leads complex clinical trials in adolescent mental health for some of the most vulnerable and excluded children and young people. For the past two decades, her research has centred on understanding risk and resilience among marginalised and clinical high-risk children and young people, drawing on genetic, longitudinal, and qualitative approaches to explore how developmental adversity and neurodevelopmental conditions shape health outcomes.
Through partnership and collaboration, she and her team are building a research portfolio focused on innovative solutions, scaling up proven treatments, and ensuring they reach those who need them most.
