Biography
Arnon Bentovim qualified in Medicine in 1959, and his psychiatric training and practice spanned 1962 to the present. He was both a subject of the evolution of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and an active player in the radical changes which developed. Initially trained in traditional models, he participated in the growing family systemic movement, initiating research in family description and intervention. He was closely involved with the identification of child maltreatment, developing an extensive clinical and research service for Sexual Abuse at Great Ormond Street. Since retiring from the NHS, he established Child and Family Training, an organisation which develops evidence based assessment, analysis, and intervention tools relevant to address the growing concerns about the impact of ACEs - Adverse Childhood Experiences, training Nationally and Internationally.
