Biography

Dr. Salah Basheer is an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Mental Health, University of Nottingham. He combines clinical practice with research exploring the links between neurodevelopment and mental health, with a focus on diagnostic approaches and early intervention. Dr Basheer has multiple publications and has presented both nationally and internationally. He is a recipient of the Donald J. Cohen Fellowship from IACAPAP and the prestigious Margaret Davenport Prize from the Royal College of Psychiatrists. His work is dedicated to advancing strategies that improve mental health outcomes for children, adolescents, and their families.
