Biography
Ana is currently working as the CAMHS DBT Lead developing a new DBT service in East London NHS Foundation Trust. Previously, she led the psychological provision at the Enhanced Treatment Service in the Maudsley Hospital, an outreach and day service providing alternative to inpatient admission to adolescents in South London. Previously, she worked in a number of CAMHS services in Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
Ana graduated in Psychology in 2014 at University of Salamanca, Spain, and completed a PhD in Psychology in 2020 at the same university. She was awarded with the extraordinary Prize of Degree. She completed her training as a Clinical Psychologist at Ramon y Cajal Hospital, Madrid, Spain (2015-2019), and was awarded with the medical area end of residency extraordinary award. She also completed a two year fellowship (2019-2021) in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology at Imperial College London. She did an extern rotation at Brief Therapy Center & Strategic Family Therapy Center at the Mental Research Institute of Palo Alto, California, as well as other specific placements in child and adolescent mental health centres and personality disorders.
She has collaborated in a number of research projects and she has also lectured in postgraduate courses. She is an author of several national and international scientific papers, as well as book chapters. She has presented more than 60 communications in national and international congress.
