Biography

Jamilah I. Silver, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Director of the Developmental Research in Irritability and Psychopathology (DRIP) Lab. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Stony Brook University and her Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University. Her research focuses on the measurement, mechanisms, and longitudinal course of irritability across childhood and adolescence, with particular attention to heterogeneity in how irritability presents and develops. Dr. Silver’s work aims to identify early-emerging pathways to psychopathology and inform precision intervention strategies for children and adolescents.
